Daniel Schlagle of La Plata, MD died on March 22, 2014 at his residence. He was 83 years old.

Daniel was a supervisor for 40 years with the Naval Ordnance Station in Indian Head, MD and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was of the Protestant faith and attended Mt. Carmel Township High School in Pennsylvania. He loved the Redskins, coin collecting, and baseball cards.

He is the son of the late Frank Schlagle and the late Bertha Carroll Schlagle. Also predeceased by his wife, Margaret Lorraine Schlagle.

He is survived by his step-son, Paul Nolan and his wife Fe; two sisters, Ellen Moraskie and Alberta White and her husband Norman; and one granddaughter, Irene Nolan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial service on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:30PM with a gathering of friends at 1:30PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment at a later date in Pennsylvania.
