Early on Tuesday morning, February 12, 2008 at her home in Waldorf, Maryland and surrounded by her family, Cecelia Elaine Proctor, 66 peacefully left this life for life eternal.

She was born on August 13, 1941 in Washington, D.C. to the late Aloysius and the late Beulah Agatha Robinson Richardson.

Cecelia grew up in Charles County and attended Charles County public schools. She later met and married John Alton Proctor and from this union six children were born. They made their home in Waldorf, Maryland.

Cecelia enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willie and sisters, Ann, Beatrice and Emily.

Left to cherish fond memories are: her husband, John A. Proctor, six children, Joyce Thompson, Devine Proctor, Bruce Proctor, Wanda Smith, Mark (Rodney) Proctor and Rella Law, thirteen grandchildren, Derek Thompson, Joy Thompson, Tony Proctor, Bryan Proctor, Shameka Gutrick, Carl (CJ) Gutrick, Mark Proctor, Jr., Keoshia Proctor, Justin Proctor, Marquis Proctor, Tierra Proctor, Shannon Everett and Scottie Law Jr., two daughters-in-law, Valerie Proctor and Darlene Proctor two sons-in-law, Lamar Smith and Scottie Law, Sr., three sisters, one brother and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland. Her Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
