Mr. Goldsmith was a self-employed carpenter and waterman in Charles County, MD. Former member of Cobb Island Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

Son of the late Archie T. Goldsmith and Rena L. Oliver Goldsmith Predeceased by his parents, two sisters Minnie Abell and Joann Beattie; two brothers Chester and Buddy Goldsmith.

Survived by one son Bill (Cheryl) Goldsmith of Newburg, MD; three sisters Rosalie (Spud) Dawson of North Carolina, Imogene Hayes of La Plata, MD and Hilda Arnold; three brothers William Goldsmith of Newburg, MD, Dallas (Sharon) Goldsmith of Cobb Island, MD and Joseph (Patsy) Goldsmith of Cobb Island, MD; two grandchildren J. R. Goldsmith and Megan Rodgers; one great grandchild Jozi R. Rodgers; former wife Darcee E. Trigger of Centerville, VA.

Visitation on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 5-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, Md.

Funeral Service on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Clergy will be Reverend Mark Roberson.

Interment on Friday, February 15, 2008 10 AM at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be Family Members.
