Michael Roy Easter of La Plata, MD died on January 31, 2014 at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He was 70 years old.

Michael lived in the southern suburbs of Washington, DC for his whole life. His professional career was with Snap-On Tools, IBM, Oxon Hill Texaco, and a service writer with many local auto dealerships. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a musician/drummer with several local bands, including The Singing Cedars.

He is the son of the late Roy S. Easter and the late Bernadette McCreight Easter. He was predeceased by his son, Michael R. Easter, Jr.; his sister, Ginny Easter Panholzer; and is survived by his wife, Chris Colling Easter, his daughter, Lynn Easter Cochran and her husband Kyle; two brothers, Brian Easter and Roy Easter; five sisters, Barbara Easter Brewer, Grace Easter McGilton, Bernadette Easter Lewis, Berti-Jo Leymeister, and Kathleen Easter-Knott; and three grandchildren, Alexis Vinciguerra, Chad Vinciguerra, and Zeke Cochran.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 1PM until Mass of Christian Burial at 2PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be private.
