Gary Wayne Knuckles of La Plata, Maryland, died on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Hospice of Charles County in Waldorf. He was 61 years old.

He was born on June 15, 1952 in Beckley, West Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Monica A. Knuckles; his children, David W., Steven A. and Samantha E. Knuckles, all of La Plata. He was also survived by his mother Barbara L. and father Harold E. Knuckles, his sister Beverly Greenwald and brothers Mark Knuckles of La Plata; and Alan Knuckles and his wife Nancy Knuckles and their three children Jennifer, Jessica and Allison, of Morrisville, NC.

Before his illness, Gary worked as a pressman in Capital Heights, MD.

He was involved in and helped coach Steven's little league baseball and football teams. He also coached Samantha's softball team. He enjoyed raising chickens and rabbits, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and his horse "Ginger".

Visitation on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5PM to 8PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 beginning at 11AM. Interment to follow at Heritage Memorial Cemetery in Waldorf Maryland.

Pallbearers are David Knuckles, Alan Knuckles, Mark Knuckles, Alan Cusack, Tommy Flint and Billy Rimm. Honorary Pallbearers are Harold Knuckles and Steven Knuckles.
