Ruth B. Sadler of Waldorf, Maryland passed away on January 4, 2014 at the age of 87.

Ruth was a school nurse for 38 years.

She raised, bread and showed Morgan Horses for the Shadowfax Farm for 30 years. Ruth was awarded Women of the Year Award for the Morgan Horse Association, along with numerous other awards. She crocheted blankets for hospitalized children and military veterans.

Ruth is preceded in death by the late William and Ruth Bowie and her daughter Christie Ann Cochran.

She is survived by her husband Leland Sadler of 49 years; five daughters Padie, Karen, Susan, Judy and Becky; son Michael: and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00pm. at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Funeral service will be at 10:00am. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2671 Mattawoman Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Burial will take place at a later date at Maryland Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.
