Kenneth Michael Hill (Mike), 65 of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away on December 29, 2013 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. He was born October 4, 1948 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Nicholas Hill and the late Flora Elizabeth Lyon Hill.

Mike was a former member of the Pool League of St. Mary's County. He enjoyed Nascar, landscaping, gardening, playing cards, shooting billiards, hunting, and farming. He loved working on old cars, spending time with his family and friends and he had a great appreciation for a home cooked meal.

Mike served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 as an Antenna Construction Lineman overseas. Upon his return, he worked as a Publication Press Operator at Parker Mailing Service in Landover, MD, until his retirement in 2010. He also worked at DJ's One Stop for 20 plus years in Mechanicsville, MD.

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his brothers, Allen Hill, Lawrence Hill, Charles "Tony" Hill, and his sister, Veronica Dunlap.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Crystal Darlene Hill; his two sons, Shawn Michael Hill and wife Rachel, Thomas Jerald Hill and wife Jessica of Mechanicsville; his three brothers, Jim Hill of Lexington Park, Billy Hill of Partlow, VA, John "Pat" Hill of Clinton; his two sisters, Mary Ann Johnson of Hollywood, Regina Sydnor of Mechanicsville; and his six grandchildren, Nicholas "Mikey", Kaitlyn, Joseph, Emma, Braelyn, Alani and his devoted dog, Dixie.

Pallbearers will be: Shawn Hill, Thomas Hill, Jason Raley, Ronald Raley, Bradley Raley, and Tyler Raley and Nicholas "Mikey" Hill as Honorary Pallbearer.

Family will receive friends for Mike's Life Celebration on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 with Reverend Michael Tietjen officiating. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
