Barbara Ellen Anderson, 74, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully 17 December 2013 in Mechanicsville, MD where she lived for the past three years. Barbara previously resided in Manteca, CA for over forty years where she was loved and respected by her family and friends, and will be deeply missed.

She was born 18 July 1939 in North St. Paul, MN to the late Albert John Otto Karnuth and the late Bernice Eunice (Martin) Karnuth.

Barbara was happiest when she was with her family and spent endless hours making sure they were well taken care of. Affectionately called "Gram," "G," and "Barbie," she will be remembered most for her kindness, love of teddy bears, service to others, and the ability to make all who knew her feel as if their friendship was her most treasured possession, and it was! Barbara worked at Bank of America for many years as a teller, and at Bank of Stockton as a processing clerk, retiring in 2004.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Richard E. Karnuth and her sister JoAnn Gail (Karnuth) Barnum.

Barbara is survived by her son, Kevin Anderson of Salida, CA; her daughter, Kelly (Anderson) Gillingwater (Will) of Mechanicsville, MD; grandchildren Savannah (Wright) Wegner (Ruben) of Turlock, CA; Krystal (Wright) Rice (Mark) of Manteca, CA; Danielle Gillingwater of Fremont, CA; Katie (Gillingwater) Mitchell (Adam) of Kerman, CA; David Gillingwater of Fremont, CA; and seven great grandchildren and one more due any day!

Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, MD and Deegan Memorial, 111 S. Palm Avenue Ripon, CA 95366 are handling arrangements.

Her services will be held Saturday 28 December 2013 at 11:00 a.m. following a 10:00 a.m. viewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6060 Northland Road, Manteca, CA. She will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road Manteca, CA.
