Jerrold Lane "Jerry" Bushman, 78, of Leonardtown, MD died at MedStar St. Mary's in Leonardtown, MD. Born May 2, 1935 in Akron, Ohio he was the son of the late Frances Raymond Bushman and Marjorie Ruth Grether Bushman.

Jerry joined the United States Navy in 1952. He proudly served as an Aviation Electrician Chief until his retirement in 1975. He dedicated twenty-three years of loyal service to his country. After retirement, he was employed by three different contractors, before ending at UNISYS, who had a contract with NASA. He worked there for 12 years until his retirement.

On December 4, 1964, he married his beloved wife, Maryellen Bushman. Together they would have celebrated 49 wonderful years of marriage.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed Amateur radio, his call sign was "KN3R." He traveled extensively with the military and NASA, and enjoyed seeing other parts of the country. However, his greatest love was the time he spent with his family. He was a life member of the Fleet Reserve and the Mason's.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his daughters, Lesa Bushman of San Antonio, TX and Lorilyn Devine (Neal) of Columbia, MD; his twin siblings, Judith Ulmer of Orlando, FL and James Bushman (Tita) of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Jamie Devine and Christina Devine; and his dear friends, Keith and Cindy Hammett.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Jerry's Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. by Reverend John Wunderlich at First Community Church, St. Paul's Campus, 22550 Point Lookout Road, P.O. Box 95, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
