Gabriel William "Gabe" Maxwell, 22, of Waldorf, MD died Oct. 18, 2013 in La Plata, MD. Born September 23, 1991, in Bogota, Colombia, he was the son of Steven Michael Maxwell and Lynn Marie Smith Maxwell.

Gabe was a 2011 graduate of North Point High School where he excelled in soccer and ice hockey. He was very musical (playing the guitar) and he was a laborer with Scope Mechanical Services in Newburg, MD. He enjoyed singing, was very friendly, and was liked by all. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Piscataway, MD.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leonard O. Maxwell.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Marion A. Maxwell; his maternal grandparents, William (Sally) Smith and Mary Lou (Richard) Runyon; three uncles, Mark Smith, William Leonard Maxwell, and Richard Runyon; three aunts, Margaret Lynn Maxwell, Ann Runyon, Averill Springer; also survived by many cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 from 5-8PM with Prayers at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD 20646).

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Piscataway, MD. Father Timothy Baer will officiate. Burial will take place at the Church Cemetery.
