Kenneth "Kenny" Roger Scott, Sr., 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 18, 2013 in La Plata, MD. Kenny was born on April 30, 1936 in Nanjemoy, MD to the late Aubrey Scott and the late Evelyn Wedding Scott.

Mr. Scott retired from the Charles County Board of Education as a carpenter after 26 years and also worked for Fun Haven Golf.

Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family and working on cars and other projects in his shop.

Kenny was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Scott; brother, Woodrow Scott. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wanda Hamilton Scott of La Plata, MD; daughter, Kimberly Scott Burroughs and her husband, Ed, of Hughesville, MD and their children, Camden, Kincade, Coleton, and Karaganne; son, Kenneth Roger Scott, Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Winchester, VA and their daughters, Adrianna, and Kendall. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Betty James of La Plata, MD and Maxine Wydick of Tucson, AZ.

Kenny will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished "Pop Pop."

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, October 22, 2013 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel in La Plata, MD. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washinton Ave., La Plata, MD 20646) with Rev. James Holbrook officiating. Internment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be Josh King, Robbie Wedding, Jamie Lawhorn, Kelly Crouse, Claude Clevenger, and Ronnie Scott.
