Brett Squires of Huntingtown, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the age of 50.

He is the son of Jean Squires of Rolla, Missouri and the late Sheridan "Butch" Squires. He is the beloved husband of Bernice Squires, loving father of Jaynee Somer Poulson and the grandfather of the soon to be grandson, Lyric Lee Holbrook. He is the brother of Brenda Wilson and Bart Squires and also survived by his beloved pets and numerous other family members and friends.

Brett was born in Madison, Wisconsin and attended high school in Raymondville, Missouri. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and served six years in active duty and retired after 24 years as a Master Sergeant in the Reserves. At the time of his death, he was a 15 year veteran of the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, DC.

He and Bernice were married in 2007. Brett had many hobbies and interests. He loved hunting and was a semi-pro bronc rider. He was a member of the Iron Brotherhood Motorcycle Club, where he served as "Road Captain". He was known to all as a good-hearted man, genuine and special, a real cowboy and a loving father.
