Ellen Marie (Grabis) Anderson, 85, of Waldorf, MD passed away on September 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1928 in Bryantown, MD to the late John Peter Grabis and the late Barbara M. (Therres) Grabis.

Ellen's life revolved around her love for family and friends and her faith in the Lord. She loved the holiday gatherings and making her homemade chocolate pies. Ellen enjoyed taking walks in the woods with her children and grandchildren when her health allowed her to. She also enjoyed reading books and praying.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by one of her son, Robert Lee Anderson; her husband, Elmer Lee Anderson; and grandson, Darren Lee Anderson.

Ellen is survived by her children, Donna M. Dyer of Hewitt, TX and Daniel L. Anderson (Denise) of Mechanicsville, MD; 1 brother; 4 sisters; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Family and friends will be received for Ellen's Life Celebration on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with prayers beginning at 5:30 PM, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Mass on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Bryantown Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617. Interment will follow to St. Mary's Bryantown Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derrick L. Anderson, David L. Anderson, Michael Sams, Michael Bradley, Charles Grabis, and Victor Adriana.
