On July 15, 2013 at her residence in Marbury, Maryland, Mary Elizabeth Washington Frazier departed this life at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late George and Eleanor Washington.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by siblings, George Washington, Jr., Robert Washington, Harry Washington, Fern Simmons, Phyllis Woods and Helen Washington Waring.

Surviving siblings are Paul McKinley Washington and Curtis Washington. Mary is also mourned by her loving nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. Including foster daughter, Miss Stanley Tweedy.

Mary E. W. Frazier was born November 10, 1929 in Marbury, Maryland. She was educated in Charles County Public Schools, graduating from Armstrong High School in 1947 and Bowie Normal College in 1952. She received her Bachelor's degree from Bowie in 1952 and completed graduate studies in elementary education at New York University.

She taught at Wayside Elementary and Mount Hope, teaching more than 30 years. She retired from the County Public School system in 1982.

She loved to travel, play pool with Powder Puff Billiard Club at Richard Clark Senior Center and Line Dance with Leisurettes Dancers. She enjoyed playing Pinochle with Club 13 Pinochle members, Ceramics and watching the Redskins.

Her viewing will be held from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial, 11am on Monday, July 22nd, St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 30 Mattingly Avenue, Indian Head, MD 20640.
