Gloria Mae (Shifflett) Mentzel, age 75, of Huntingtown, MD died Monday, July 8, 2013 in Marietta, GA. She was born in Baltimore, MD on June 6, 1938 to Velma and James Shifflett.

She and her husband, William Mentzel Sr. lived in Huntingtown, MD.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandsons. Gloria enjoyed crafts including making salt dough figures and soft sculpture dolls. She also baked blue ribbon winning sugar cookies, won many blue ribbons on her painted ceramics and enjoyed collecting antique irons.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother Velma and step father Daniel Conley.

She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Sr., two sons William "Bill" Jr. and wife Susan of Big Lake, MN and Daniel and wife Angela of Canton, GA; grandsons Benjamin, Andrew, and Carter Mentzel and a sister Eloise Krauss of Baltimore, MD.
