Margaret Ann Chadbourne, 99, of Huntingtown, MD, died July 9, 2013, at the Calvert County Nursing Home in Prince Frederick, MD.

A widow, and legally blind, she moved from Torrance, CA to Calvert County, MD in 2006, to live with her son Bill and his wife, Reiko, in Huntingtown. She was an active member of a reading group at North Beach Senior Center for almost three years.

Born in Mirage, CO on May 2, 1914, the second daughter of Bergen and Audrey Miller, Margaret grew up and married in Kansas and then moved to California with her husband, Niles, in 1937 where she worked at various automobile dealerships as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her son, Bill Chadbourne and daughter-in-law, Reiko; her grandson, Clinton Chadbourne of Huntingtown; grandson, Clayton Chadbourne of Garden Grove, CA; granddaughter, Jennie Chadbourne, of Mililani, HI; granddaughter Karen Daley of Lancaster, SC; and great granddaughters Annelise and Karis Daley.
