Lois Edith Shepard Arnold, 62, of Hollywood, MD, died June 25, 2013, at Hospice House in Callaway, MD. She was surrounded by her family.

Born August 9, 1950, in Tazwell,VA, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Shepard and Ethal Mae McCall Shepard.

She was the wife of Robert W. Arnold whom she married on November 7, 1970, in Elkins, MD.

Lois is survived by her children, Bobby Arnold (Gina) of Las Vegas, NV and Rick Arnold (Karen) of Clements, MD; her grandchildren, Jennifer Dungan of Clements, MD, Valentina Arnold of Lawton, OK, Alexis Arnold of Anchorage, AK, Victoria Arnold of Anchorage, AK, Lillian Arnold of Clements, MD, and Ricky Arnold Jr. of Clements, MD. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Lois is survived by her siblings, Elaine Ward of SC, Danny Shepard of Tazwell, VA, Ricky Shepard of TX, Dale Shepard of CO, Terry Shepard of VA and Ernie Shepard.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Curtis Shepard and Janet Shepard.

Lois was a master barber and worked in Maryland and Anchorage, AK throughout her career. Lois's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren will always remember her delicious birthday cakes that she made for their birthdays. Lois enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, putting together puzzles, chickens, and her beloved dogs Sam and Gus.

Lois had a great sense of humor which she kept all throughout her illness. She was a strong and determined woman who passed these traits to her children and grandchildren.

There will be a private ceremony with her family.
