Joseph E. Burch, Jr., 59, of Port Tobacco, MD died on June 6, 2013 in Washington, DC.

He was born on March 16, 1954 in La Plata, MD to the late Joseph and Mary Burch. He is also predeceased by his brother Robert E. Burch and his brother-in-law Joseph Payne.

He is survived by his wife Linda A. Burch, son Joseph J. Deane (Amy), daughter Leah R. Burch, brothers John M. Burch (Judy), Kenneth S. Burch (Kathleen), sister Catherine Payne. He is also survived by his granddaughter Heather R. Deane, great granddaughter Allie Raye and many nieces and nephews.

He was a mechanic on John Deer Tractors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, Redskins and raising his chickens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday June 11, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a funeral service at 7 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2013 12 noon at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, MD.
