Ezra S. Stauffer, 89 of Mechanicsville, MD died on December 17, 2007 at Washington Hospital Center.

Born January 31, 1918 in Lincoln, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Barbara Stauffer.

Mr. Stauffer opened Stauffer's Machine Shop in 1952, retiring in 1974 he then opened an Antique store, he enjoyed woodworking, building grandfather clocks, gardening and planting fruit trees. He was past President of the Mechanicsville Lions Club and an active member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna S. Fox Stauffer a son Leon H. Stauffer three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his children; Joanne Sparshott (Harry), Ethel Moore (Don), Gerald Stauffer (Mary), Eddie Stauffer and Randy Stauffer (Jill), siblings; Thomas Stauffer, Calvin Stauffer, Nora Brubaker , Lilly Martin , Sally Zimmerman , Maude Auker and Barbara Zimmerman, also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.


The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2007 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Life Celebration Home, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00am in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Mechanicsville, MD. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
