Cole, Helen Jane (Bush) Age 93 of Waldorf, Maryland formerly of Chaptico, Maryland.

Helen Jane Bush Cole, 93, of Waldorf died May 8, 2013, at home in Waldorf, MD. She was a homemaker.

Born June 8, 1919 in Chaptico, she was the daughter of the late James Andrew Bush and Marie Talbert Bush. She received her education in the St. Mary's County School System.

Helen was a domestic worker until she met and married Joseph DeSales Cole on August 2, 1942. They raised 10 children; Ruby Farmer, Benjamin Cole, Zelder Holton, Maryaline Shenberger, Mitchell Cole, Wilson Cole, George Cole, Clinton Cole, Agnes Brawner, Linda Cole and 1 grandchild; Pansy Cole.

Her life involved family and God. She enjoyed cooking large dinners on Sundays and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed visits from her sister-in law Helen Coates. She accepted Christ later in life and started attending Crossroads Apostolic Church.

In addition to her parents and spouse she was preceded in death by sisters Aline Bush and Marie Carter, brother Jimmy Bush, granddaughter Angela Cole and son in-law Edward Shenberger.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, grandchildren; Helen, Crystal, Joseph, Shawn, O'Brien, Sherard, Leah, Miriam, Myiesha, Curtina, Clifton, Kelly, Timothy, Elsworth, Tito, Solomon, Levi, Rebecca, Nathan, Pansy, Raymond, Joy, Candy, Andre, Anthony, Nicole, Nakia and Jeffrey; 35 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-great-grandchildren; Siblings; Pauline and Louise Baker, Ardella Smith, Clarice Young, Benjamin, Clarence and Tommy Bush, Sons-In law; Sylvester Holton and Earl Brawner; Daughters-in law, Jacqueline, Darlene, Denise and Vanessa; Sisters-In-law Beatrice Cole, Helen Coates, Edna Price, and Betty Bush; Brother-In Law, Robert Smith; Extended family; Cleveland Fenwick, Margaret Moore, John and George Bush and a host of relatives and friends.

Viewing, 9:30am until time of Service, 11am, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland.

Interment, St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Newport (Charlotte Hall), Maryland.
