On October 17, 1968, in La Plata, MD, Melvin and Brenda Jamieson became the proud parents of another baby boy and they named him Randolph Harris Jamieson. He was affectionately known to his family as "Mutt" and friends as "Randy" or "Low Rider."

Randy was a lifelong resident of Charles County, Maryland. He attended Charles County Public Schools and graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School in Pomfet, MD. He grew up as a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and, for a time, was an Usher. Prior to forming his own trucking business, he held a position with the FBI as a Finger Print Examiner. He also worked a few other jobs before succumbing to the call in his heart to own his own trucking business and birthed R.H. Jamieson and Family Trucking, LLC.

The "Family" portion of his Trucking Company included his wife, Natalie, whom he met while working with the FBI and married on March 25, 1995. From this union two sons were born, however, they shared three; "Little Randy 'Boobie", Brandon "BJ" and Darius. Randy was never afraid of hard work, especially since he was raised by a father who introduced him to working on a farm at an early age. He was never afraid to take a risk. It was a part of who he was as a business owner and a race car driver. Racing was in his blood. He thoroughly enjoyed building his cars and trucks and then drag racing them. He had a passion for the older model Chevy Blazer, but his most recent pride and joy was his baby, the 67 Chevy Nova.

Never afraid to get his hands dirty, Randy would repair and maintain his own small fleet of trucks to the extent that he could. Operating his own business meant the world to him.

If not at the track or a car show, Randy enjoyed cookouts and the time he spent with his family. He had much love and respect for his parents and was a supportive son to his father during his illness and mother, especially after the recent death of his dad.

Randy was very proud of his children. He wanted his sons to grow into strong, independent men and was never afraid to discipline when he thought it necessary ("hang foot..." was a favorite phrase!)

His engaging smile, charming ways, and kind heart will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his father, Joseph Melvin Jamieson, Sr. and brother, Joseph Melvin Jamieson, Jr., also preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Harris and Margaret Jamieson and maternal grandparents, Edna Posey Holmes, Randolph Posey and Ralph "Chuck" Holmes, aunts, Theresa J. Quarles, Margaret J. Thornton, Anita V. Jamieson and Evelyn L. Jamieson, Joyce Posey Sinclair, Darcel Holmes Gailes "Sissy" and uncle, Donald Posey.
