Bonita "Bonnie" Boyce Bass, 72, of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Forestville, MD, passed April 25, 2013 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. Born December 26, 1940 in Wythe County, VA, she was the daughter of William Rhudalle Blankenship and Dorothy Joy Dillow Blankenship.

Bonnie was a homemaker who loved the outdoors, fishing, cooking, holiday dinners and celebrations of any kind. Her grandchildren were her life.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles Glendon Bass and daughter, Kae Gardiner.

She is survived by her son, William G. "Bill" Bass; daughter-in-law, Toni M. Venable- Bass; son-in-law, William "Perky" Gardiner; sisters, Brenda Large, Carol Wilson, Sonja Blankenship and Terrie Wood; grandchildren, Brandie Della-Luna, Brittany Gardiner, Brandon Bass, Aaron Bass and Cameron Bass; great grandchildren, Charlie Della-Luna and Kaelie Della-Luna and companion, Thomas Molino.

The family will receive friends for Bonnie's Life Celebration on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD. A Service will be held at 7:00 PM, here at the funeral home. Pastor Grinchenko from the Waldorf Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Interment will be private.
