Robert Jay Rogers of Waldorf, MD died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence with Hospice. He was 22 years old.

He was preceded in death by one brother: Eddie Rogers.

He is survived by his parents: Mike Brooke and Katherine L. Holdforth Brooke; one daughter: Delilah (his puppy); two brothers: Cody Rogers and Steven Schantz; maternal grandparents: Vern and Anna Marie Holdforth and Aaron Ellison; and maternal great grandmother: Verena Holdforth. Also survived by many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Robert was the original Bat Boy for the Blue Crabs Baseball Team for the first three seasons. He managed his high school basketball and football teams and volunteered at Matula Elementary School. He graduated from North Point High School in 2009. He participated in Special Olympics events as a child and did the Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics. He loved his Green Bay Packers and his Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

Visitation on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM and a Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 with Rev. Mark Roberson officiating. Interment will be at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Katherine Brooke Fund (for benefit of Robert Rogers), M&T Bank, 11175 Mall Circle, Waldorf, MD 20603.

The family has requested you wear your favorite sports jersey to the funeral.
