Charles Arthur "Charlie" Lynde, 85, Waldorf, MD.

Charles Arthur Lynde, 85, of Franconia, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Civista Medical Center. Born in Franconia, NH to Albert Lynde and Leona Lynde, he lived most of his life in NH.

Charles was a passionate man who enjoyed music and dancing. He will be missed as a loyal man who lived his life devoted to his wife Rose of 61 years, his three children Miriam Bois, Monika Lynde, Mark Lynde, and four grandchildren, Hayley Bois, Cara Bois, Zachery Lynde, and Chelsea Lynde.

He is survived by his wife Rose Lynde, daughters Miriam Bois and husband Bill Bois of Bel Alton, MD, Monika Lynde of Vienna, VA, and son Mark Lynde of Leesburg, VA.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leona and Alfred Lynde, and brothers Fred Lynde, Ray Lynde, and Larry Lynde.

His accomplishments include serving in the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and the Department of State; married to Rosilda Claire Grebo for 61 years; adopted three children, Miriam, Monika, and Mark (the 3 M's); lived 12 years overseas in New Delhi, India, Vienna, Austria, Ankara, Turkey, and Paris, France; and worked in many different countries, sometimes during times of war (to include Korea and Kuwait).

There will be a Gathering on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 10AM until time of Memorial Service at 10:30AM at La Plata United Methodist Church (3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, MD 20646) with an Entombment at Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601) with United States Air Force Honor Guard.
