Joseph Michael "Joe" Wojeckowski of Waldorf, Maryland, died on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown, MD. He was 62 years old. Born on July 1, 1950 in Newark, New Jersey, Joe was the son of the late Sally Delmonico and the late John Michael Wojeckowski.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Norma A. Wojeckowski; his children John M. Wojeckowski and his wife Carol of Highlands Ranch, CO, Carrie Buchanan and her husband Brion of Issue, MD, Jamie Welsh and her husband Timothy of Baltimore, MD; his grandchildren Connor, Makenna, and Addison Wojeckowski, and Dylan, Nicholas, and Dominic Buchanan. He grew up in Hazlet, NJ until he joined the U.S. Air Force. He was Honorably Discharged in 1974 at the rank of Sergeant. Joe was working at the U.S. Postal Service headquarters in Washington, DC as a Program Manager. He was a devoted bowler in several leagues and served as Secretary for the Monday Mixers and TGIF League. Joe also wrote their weekly newsletter. He loved music, reading, writing short stories, playing Golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Gathering will be on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 1PM until 5PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 4PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.
