Patrick Joseph Kearney, 87 of Charlotte Hall, MD died on November 16, 2007 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

Born on April 17, 1920 in Dublin, Ireland. He was the son of the late Michael J. and Sarah Mulhall Kearney. Mr. Kearney was a US Postal Supervisor for the Federal Government for 30 years. Prior he served in the U.S. Army during World War III from 1943-1946 as a member of the 8th Armored Division, 18th Tank Battalion.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary B. Kelly Kearney and his son Kevin Michael Kearney.

He is survived by his daughter, Eileen Minnick and son in-law Tom of Charlotte Hall, granddaughter Lisa; grandsons, Steven and his wife Theresa, David, Jonathan, Daughter in-law Dawn and her husband Kevin Diggins; great grandchildren Keelie and Joseph. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Family & friends are invited in the Life Celebration of Mr. Kearney on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Brinsfield-Echols Life Celebration Home, 30195 Three Notch, Charlotte Hall, MD., from 6 to 8PM and where prayers will be said at 7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in La Plata, MD at 10AM. Interment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA on Saturday, November 24, 2007.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
