Dane Corey Powell, 53, of Prince Frederick, MD, formerly of Port Tobacco, MD and Cumberland, MD, passed away at Burnett Hospice House in Prince Frederick, MD on February 15, 2013. He was born on April 26, 1959 in Miami, FL to the late Willa Jane (McKenzee) Powell and the late Boyd Kent Powell, Sr.

He served in the Military with the U.S. Marines for 4 years. Later, Dane became an elevator mechanic for Quality Elevator Company. Dane belonged to the Harley Owners Group. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and playing with his grandchildren.

Dane is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Christina Marie Powell of Prince Frederick, MD; his sons, Wayne Michael Eversole of Port Republic, MD Bryce Anthony Eversole of La Plata, MD; his brothers, Boyd Powell, Jr. of Morgantown, WV and Cliff Powell of Springfield, WV; and his grandchildren, Angel, Nevaeh, Allie and Corey Eversole.

Family and friends will be received for Dane's Life Celebration on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM, here at the funeral home. Pastor Dave Huffman will officiate. Interment will be on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Maryland Veteran Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
