Betty Jane Linkins of Waldorf, MD died on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Genesis Waldorf Center in Waldorf, MD. She was 89 years old.

Mrs. Linkins was a waitress at local restaurants and of the Episcopal faith. In her younger days, she enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and going out on the boat. She loved animals – especially cats.

Daughter of the late William Robert Kidd and the late Georgie Windsor Kidd.

Predeceased by her parents; her late husband, Paul Wilbur Linkins; two late sons, Peter Lynn Kidwell and Johnathon Ashley Kidwell (died at birth); two late brothers; and nine late sisters.

Survived by four sons, Christopher Carl Lusby of VA, Gerald Lee Lusby of Brandywine, MD, Charles Leroy Kidwell of Hughesville, MD, and Timothy Lee Kidwell of FL; and one daughter, Judith Elaine Lusby Thompson of FL. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation: Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 4-7PM with Funeral Service at 6PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Fr. Harry Harper. Interment: Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11AM at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
