Ethyl M. Dubois of Waldorf, MD, died on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at her friend's residence. She was 75 years old. Born on September 8, 1937 in Englewood, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Dubois and the late Helen Sprague Dubois.

Ms. Dubois served in the U. S. Navy from 1960 to 1962 before being Honorably Discharged at the rank of Ensign. She was an Educator with the Prince George's School System and taught Chemistry at the Oxon Hill High School.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Ms. Dubois served as a missionary in Bolivia for several years. She was a founding member of a Spanish speaking LDS congregation in Camp Springs. Ms. Dubois also taught religious instruction at the church to high school students. She was a proud breeder of prize- winning show cats that won numerous awards and was an avid Washington Redskins fan.

In addition to her parents, Ethyl was preceded in death by sister Lorraine (Dubois) Jacobsen and husband Bill.

Ethyl is survived by her sister Joan Dubois of Bethlehem PA; her nieces and nephews Deborah Finnegan and husband Manuel Espinel of Bethlehem PA, Cheryl Williams and husband Keith of Aurora CO, Sharon Finnegan and husband Dave Smith of Allentown PA, Tommy Finnegan and wife Bridget of Parsippany NJ, Don Jacobsen and wife Nancy as well as Denise Dickten and husband Vern of Warwick NY.

Visitation on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service 9:30AM on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 4560 Padgett Drive, White Plains, MD 20695 with Farrel Martin officiating. Interment to follow at MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
