Sandra Jo Hollewa of La Plata, Maryland passed away peacefully on December 19, 2012.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father Joseph Steech and mother Ethelda Laughead.

She is survived by her loving husband Frank Hollewa; Daughter Amy Berry and husband Joseph Berry, Son Frank Hollewa Jr. and wife Roberta Hollewa; 3 Grandchildren Lauren, Katie and J.B.

Sandra dedicated her life to raising her children and began a new career after they graduated college. She was the Catering Director at the Jaycee Center in Waldorf, Maryland for the past 20 years. She was involved with the greater Waldorf Jaycee's since 1969 and participated in numerable community programs for the past 43 years. Her service was recognized by a resolution of the Maryland House of Delegates.

Visitation will be on Friday December 21, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland. Services will be on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00AM at Good Shepard United Methodist Church 305 East Smallwood Drive, Waldorf, Maryland. Burial will be held privately after the service.

Donations may be made in memory of Sandra Jo Hollewa to the Hospice of Charles County.
