David Lamont Harley of Severn, MD (formerly of La Plata, MD) died on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was 45 years old. Born on September 10, 1967 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James M. Harley, Sr. and the late Mary L. Harley. He was the youngest of 11 children.

He was employed with Safeway for 26 years in the Deli Department. He was a tennis enthusiast and was a member of various tennis clubs. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Harley and Kyro Harley; one sister, Valerie Butler, two nephews, Marcel and Kiko; one niece, Donja; and grandparents, Frank and Daisy Burch.

Survived by four sisters, Cynthia (Karl) Savoy of Bryans Road, MD, Ranaye Harley of La Plata, MD, Theresa (Randy) Proctor of Mechanicsville, MD, and Lisa Harley of Marion, VA; and three brothers, James (Diane) Harley of San Antonio, TX, John Harley of La Plata, MD, and Anthony Harley of Montgomery Village. Also survived by five aunts, eight uncles, 19 nieces and nephews, and 26 great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Gathering: Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 9:30AM until time of Memorial Service at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy: Deacon Johnny Barnes. Interment: Private.
