Linda "Lynn" Kay Thomas, 66, of Mechanicsville passed away on December 15, 2012 at Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD. Born December 16, 1945 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late James Carlton Norwood and the late Viola A. Little Norwood.
Linda was employed as an Office Manager for Guy Motors for 25 years, and at Walls Bakery as a baker before moving to St. Mary's County. Linda enjoyed watching TV, especially "Sons of Anarchy" and "The Walking Dead". She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She will always be remembered for having baked snacks for the children after school. Linda was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Eugene Dewey Thomas ( "Tommy"). He is survived by her son: Timothy J. Thomas and his life companion Kim Knight; brother, James Norwood; sisters: Nancy Thompson and Sue Ethridge; three grandchildren: Brian and Sean Knight and Courtney Thomas. The family will receive friends for Linda's Memorial Life Celebration on Thursday, December 20, 2012, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A service will be held at 7:00p.m. Life Celebrant, Kimberly McKnight, will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice House of St. Mary's, 44724 Hospice Lane, Callaway, MD 20620.
