Marie Allana Grant, 70, of Mechanicsville, Maryland (formerly Accokeek, MD) passed away at home on November 30, 2012. She was born in Uniontown, PA on March 4, 1942 to the late Orville and Ellen (Salvato) Gordon.

Before retiring, Marie worked as an office manager for JITC at Indian Head Naval Base. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with family. She thoroughly enjoyed attending football games.

Aside from her parents, Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Grant.

Marie is survived by her sons, John Grant (Wendy) of Annapolis, MD and Gary Grant (Angel) of White Plains, MD; her daughters, Denise O'Grady (Jimmy) of Mechanicsville, MD and Theresa Brenner (Richie) of Port Republic, MD; her brothers, Michael Gordon of Uniontown, PA and Sam Gordon of Georgia; her sister, Judy Peavornick of Masontown, PA; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Family and friends will be received for Marie's Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with prayers beginning at 7:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Mass on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Piscataway Catholic Church, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735. Father Timothy Baer will officiate. Interment will follow to the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ryan Grant, Jimmy O'Grady, Sean O'Grady, Nick Grant, Kyle Hicks, Charlie Brenner, Matthew Tippett and TJ Andrade. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Louis Collins, Joey Collins and Patrick Farr.
