Virginia Mae (Billie) McGinnis, 93, of Hughesville, MD passed away at Taylor Farm Assisted Living on November 18, 2012. She was born in Washington, DC on April 4, 1919 to the late Ethel Scott Mason, John Glenn Mason and Harry Scott.

She loved spending time with her family, her pets and enjoyed cooking and reading. Billie worked in the accounting department as a clerk for C&P Telephone Company for 21 years, retiring in 1984. In retirement, she volunteered for her great grandchildren's elementary school, Civista Medical Center, Catherine Foundation and Care Net Pregnancy Center of Southern Maryland.

She is survived by her son, Patrick McGinnis, his wife Dari; her two granddaughters and their husbands Wendy and John Anvari and Amy and Gregory Flach, her five great grandchildren, Zachary Michelbrink, Morgan Anvari, Hannah Flach, Emily Flach, and Alexander Flach and her "adopted" granddaughter, Shirley McCaffrey.

Family and friends will be received for Billie's Life Celebration on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A private funeral service for her immediate family, will take place on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Cedar Hill Cemetery Suitland, MD. Pastor Garrett Conner will officiate.
