Donna Rae Gartland, 69, of La Plata, Md. Died on Saturday October 27, 2012 at her home. She was born on June 24, 1943 in Washington, DC to the late Raymond Brown and Irene Duvall Brown. She is also predeceased by her brother Donald Avery.

Donna was a church member of the Bell Methodist Church in Camp Springs, Md. She was a hairstylist; some of her hobbies and interest were gardening, decorating, dancing, jewelry and floral design. She was a member of the Charles County Woman's Club, Charles County Garden Club, Southeast Hand Dancers and the Southern Maryland Street Rods.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Gartland Keller, son James F. Gartland, III, sister Norma Jean Weightman, grandchildren James Blake Gartland, Joseph R. Marino, Tristan J. Marino, Kenleigh C. Keller and Bryce P. Keller. She is also survived by her nieces Heather Weightman Thomas and Renee' Gartland Serpico.

Funeral services will be private.
