Helen "Charlene" Graham, 61, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away September 17, 2012 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Born October 26, 1950 in Riverdale, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frederick H. Hoots and the late Helen (Yowell) Hoots.

Charlene was formerly from Temple Hills, MD and Waldorf, MD. She moved to Mechanicsville, MD in 1988. Charlene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, antiques, riding motorcycles, and RV trips. Charlene was crazy about Law & Order and QVC home shopping. She was also an animal lover and rescued several animals.

Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald Mumford Graham, Jr.; her son, William Clark (Penny Clark); her granddaughters, Skylar and Brannon Clark; her step-daughters, Margaret Hurt, Ruth Graham, and Therese Pitts; her brother, Fred W. Hoots of Huntingtown, MD; her sister, Virginia Hoots of Temple Hills, Maryland.

Family and friends will be received for Charlene's Life Celebration on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 4-8PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 12:00PM, at the funeral home. Rev. Dave Weinberg will officiate. Interment will immediately follow to Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
