Peter James Cangelosi, of Waldorf, MD died on Friday, September 7, 2012 at University of MD Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was 22 years old.

Peter was a medical researcher with the Taste and Smell Clinic in Washington, DC. He was a graduate of Westlake High School Class of 2008 where he excelled in wrestling at the state level and a graduate of the University of MD Baltimore Campus. He served internships in medical research at Stanford University, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and the University of MD.

In his youth he was an Eagle Scout and volunteered with Orphan Wildlife Rescue Center. He was also an avid outdoor and nature enthusiast.

Son of the living Raymond A. Cangelosi and the living Laurie June Ray Cangelosi.

Survived by his parents; his beloved companion Heather Carter; two brothers Brandon R. (Autumn) Cangelosi of Owings Mills, MD and Anthony L. Cangelosi of Waldorf, MD; one sister Nicole M. (Aaron) Clingman of King George, VA; paternal grandmother Donna L. Cangelosi of IL and maternal grandmother Joyce I. Ray of IL; two nieces Caitlyn Cangelosi and Abigail Clingman. Also survived by a number of aunts and uncles.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 3PM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 7PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. Clergy: Fr. John Reutemann. Interment: PRIVATE.
