Stanley Joseph Javorski, 90, of Hughesville, MD died on September 6, 2012 at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Home in Lexington Park, MD. He was born on August 26, 1922 to the late Helen (Dutkiewicz) and Joseph Javorski in Pittsburg, PA.

Stanley served in WWII with the U.S. Navy on the USS Batfish submarine. After the war, he returned to his hometown, Pittsburg, PA, where he worked in the steel-mills and later owned and operated two restaurants, The Mohawk Restaurant and Stan's Café. He then moved to Fort Myers and Boca Raton, Florida where he worked for Southland Corporation. He later retired in Boca Raton and pursued his favorite pastime, golfing. Later in life, Stanley moved to Hughesville, MD where he has spent the last 19 years.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years, Irene Josephine (Chimielewski) Javorski, and 11 siblings.

He is survived by his two daughters, Arlene J. Dodson (William) of Hollywood, MD and Linda A. Javorski of Hughesville, MD; his two grandchildren, Stephanie L. Dodson and Gerald Garnsey, III; and his sister, Victoria Schmitt (Robert).

Family and friends will be received for Stanley's Life Celebration on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 2:00 to 5:00PM, with prayers at 4:00PM, at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Father Kevin Cusick will officiate. There will be a Mass with Father Cusick on Monday, September 10, 2012, at 10:30AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 7185 Benedict Avenue, Benedict, MD 20612. Interment will immediately follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.

The pallbearers will be William Dodson, Richard Dodson, Mike Fuhrman, Mark Atkinson, Aaron Fenwick, and Gary Hyatt.
