Mr. Ennis was a self-employed owner of American Sanitation Company in Brandywine, MD for 50 years and a member of New Life Wesleyan Church in La Plata, MD. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He loved dancing, sailing, traveling, good food, and was known as a jokester. He most enjoyed being with family and friends.

Son of the late William Michael Ennis and the living Grace M. Ennis.

Predeceased by his father and survived by his mother Grace M. Ennis of Centreville, VA; his wife of 18 years Emma J. Ennis; one son Roy A. Ennis, Jr., of Brandywine, MD; three daughters Sharon (Frank) Samsock of Tampa, FL, Shelly (Patrick) Seburn of Lovettsville, VA, and Kimberly (Todd) Krebs of Westminster, MD; two step-sons Jack (Nikola) Lee of Farr West, Utah and Scott (Denise) Lee of Stafford, VA; and two step-daughters Jeanne Lee of Waldorf, MD and Cheryl (Ricky) Curtis of St. Leonard, MD; two sisters Nancy (Wayne) Maxfield of Falls Church, VA and Linda (Kenneth) Anderson of Warrenton, VA. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at New Life Wesleyan Church (9690 Shepherd's Creek Place, La Plata, MD 20646). Clergy will be Rev. Aaron Rummage.

His interment will be private.
