William Leon (B ill) Rayle, 79, of Lafayette, LA, formally from Byrdstown, TN and Charlotte Hall, MD died July 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette, LA. Born December 20, 1932 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Edward Rayle and Essie Rayle.

Bill was a superintendent for Atchison and Keller Inc., Mechanical Contractor, for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved the Soap Box Derby which his children and grandchildren raced and mastered. Bill enjoyed working in the yard, watching the Washington Redskins and gambling.

Predeceased by his parents; wife of over 50 years, Betty Lee (Clevenger) Rayle and Son James Rayle Sr. (Julie).

Bill is survived by his children, Sharon Mann (Jon), Sandy Zanelotti (Jerry), and Bill Rayle (Candide); grandchildren, James Jr., Jeffery and Dawn Rayle, Jennifer Cedillo (Jamie), Sara Harrington (Dustin), Katelin Mann, Curt and Gina Zanelotti, Courtney and Justin Rayle. Bill is also survived by three great grandsons, Maxwell and Alex Cedillo and Jackson Harrington.

The family will receive friends for Bill's Life Celebration on Friday July 20, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow to Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746.
