Raymond Martin Eagan III (Marty), April 4, 1952 - July 3, 2012.

After a courageous 19 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis and complications thereof, he passed away peacefully at Calvert Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Raymond Martin Eagan Jr. and Ethel Newheiser Eagan. He was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in New Carrollton, MD. Raymond later raised his own family in Sunderland MD and spent the last 5 years in Leonardtown, MD.

Raymond served in the US Marine Corps and was stationed in Albany GA. He was proud of his achievement as an accomplished rifle marksman. He later worked as a printer with Sauls Lithograph Company in Washington, D.C. for 23 years. He enjoyed spending family vacations in Naples, FL. He was a handy man and liked to spend his free time working on his home and cars.

Raymond is survived and forever remembered by his sons: Raymond Martin Eagan, IV; Thomas E. Eagan; his daughter. Karen M. Eagan-Whittington; mother: Ethel M. Eagan; brothers: Timothy M. Eagan; Mark K. Eagan; sisters: Mary Ellen Gillenwater; Kathryn M. Landon, and Christine M. Hendrick. Former wife: Laurie Ann Eagan. Friend and care giver: Carol Catalina.

The Family will receive friends for Raymond's Life Celebration on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 29119 Point Lookout Road, Morganza, MD. Interment will be 11:00 AM on July 10, 2012 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
