Gertrud Rose, 89, of North Beach, MD died at her home on June 22, 2012. She was born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany on June 2, 1923 to the late Johann and Katharina Porr Viehmann.

She had lived in Braintree, MA before moving to this area over 12 years ago. She was a homemaker who was a former member of the Tabitha Society of First Lutheran Church of Boston, MA.

She is survived by her sons, Arthur Rose, Jr. and his wife Iris of Worcester, MA; Paul Rose of Lakeland, FL and Steven Rose and his wife, Colleen of Humble, TX; daughters, Ingrid Falanga and husband Leo of North Beach, MD, Gert Fantasia and Robert Lonergan of Brandon, FL, Patricia Willis and her husband, Richard of Carver, MA and Sandra Siciliano and her husband, Dennis of Carver, MA, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Arthur predeceased her in 2006

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home in Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11 am at First Lutheran Church, 6300 Southern Maryland Blvd., Huntingtown, MD.

Inurnment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church or Little Lambs Preschool.
