Lorena Fallin Johnson, 94, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away at Hospice House of St. Mary's County on April 28, 2012. Born June 30, 1917 in Biddeford, ME, she was the daughter of Henry Xavier Girard and Louisa Mae (Fillmore) Girard.

She served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and belonged to the American Legion in Hughesville, MD. She worked for C & P Telephone Company until the birth of her first child born in 1947. In 1957 she did Child Day Care in her home until 1983.

Aside from her parents, Lorena is predeceased by her beloved husband, George Wellington Fallin who she was married to from 1946 until his death in 1983 - and also her husband Oscar R. Johnson from 1990-1999.

Lorena is survived by her four children, Louisa Fallin Jones and husband Doug of Mechanicsville, VA, Richard Henry Fallin and wife Jill of Mt. Airy, MD, Ellen Fallin Harman and husband Howard of Mechanicsville, MD, and George Wellington Fallin, Jr., and wife Shirley of Colonial Beach, VA; her sister, Madeline G. Lothrop of Bow, N.H.; her 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for Lorena's Memorial Life Celebration on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10-11AM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM at Brinsfield-Echols. Immediately following the Memorial Service, a gathering of Family and Friends will be held at the American Legion Post 238, in Hughesville, Maryland. Inurnment will be scheduled for a later date and take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
