Joyce Audrey Denny April 25, 2012 at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, Maryland at the age of 86. Mrs. Denny was a resident of Moringside House in Waldorf, Maryland. Born June 9, 1925 in New Jersey, formerly of Brandywine, Maryland.

Preceded in death by her parents harvey and Audrey McConnell and her husband of 58 years, Robert "Bob" Denny Sr. Survived by her children, Diana D. Hancock and her husband, Fred, of Waldorf, Maryland, Robert R. Denny Jr. and his wife, Sandi, of Waldorf, Maryland and Karen S. Calabrese and her husband, Ken of Frederick, Maryland. Grandchildren, Samuel Hanacock (Cristina), Amanda Roberts (Keith), Rebecca Golian (Paul), Jamie Thompson (Christopher), Tekoa Robinson (Aaron), Robert Denny, III (Denise), Jessica Bibby (Ian), Kelsey Calabrese and Jack Calabrese. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, her brother, Harvey McConnell Jr. (Betsy), and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was well-loved by her family, friends and neighbors. Her kindness and optimistic outlook will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Denny was laid to rest with her late husband on Tuesday, May 1st. at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.

Donations may be made in her name to The Hospice of Charles county.
