Regina L. Rison, 61, from La Plata, MD. Passed away April 25, 2012. Born August 16, 1950 in Bolling Air Force Base, Washington D.C. to John W. and Mary L. Pugh. She was raised in La Plata, MD.

Regina currently worked at RCM&D Insurance Group as a special risk account manager.

Regina was a long-standing parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was instrumental in launching Mary's Pantry, a food distribution service for the needy, through Sacred Heart Church and continued her dedication to Mary's Pantry.

Regina was preceded in death by her most beloved husband of 35 years Melvin R. Rison, her parents John W. and Mary L. Pugh.

She is survived by her brother John J. Pugh and sister Edith F. Adams; sons Richard Rison and Scott Rison and his wife Kimberly; nieces, Frances Schram, Carla Cox, Tonya Owens, and Carrie Howell; nephews, David Chase, James Lofgren and Shaun Pugh; grandchild Jayden Hicks; and special family friends Robert, Brian and Jennifer Rupp.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 on Monday, April 30th at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 1st at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, La Plata.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church for the benefit of Mary's Pantry.
