Rose Ann Allen passed away on April 21, 2012 at the age of 86. Rose grew up in New Kensington, PA along with her brothers and sisters and especially enjoyed going dancing.

She was a devoted wife to her husband John M. Allen and a loving mother to their two girls, Karen Downs and Kerry Callahan.

Rose worked as a mailroom clerk for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Stella Piernik, husband, John M. Allen, and her siblings Joseph Piernik, Stanley Piernik, Minnie Piernik, and John Piernik.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Downs and Kerry Callahan, three grandchildren, Ricky Callahan Jr, Ryan Callahan, and Zachary Downs, and her sister Fran Markey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
