Shelby Renee Dunlap of Waldorf, MD died on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Genesis La Plata Center in La Plata, MD. She was 47 years old. Daughter of the living George W. Riggs and the living Karen A. Redman Riggs.

Mrs. Dunlap was a nursing assistant for 8 years for doctors offices. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking. Always known for taking care of neighborhood kids. She was a good event planner, enjoyed boating, and loved the beach.

Survived by her parents of Waldorf, MD; three daughters, Jamie Dunlap of Upper Marlboro, MD, Alexandra Dunlap of Lothian, MD, and Kari Dunlap of Lothian, MD and their father, Donald Dunlap of Lothian, MD; one brother, Chris (Sue) Riggs of Owings, MD; and three sisters, Laurie (Ronnie) McClure of Lake Caroline, VA, Kari (Scott) Hamilton of Hardy, VA, and Amanda (Randy) Bartley of Hardy, VA. Also survived by one grandchild, Jayden Alexander Kitchens, one god-son, Jimmy McClure, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 1PM until Memorial Service time at 2PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment: By family at a later date.
