On Monday, March 12, 2012, Anthony Jerome Chisley, better known as Tony, was called home to be with the Lord at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. Tony was born to James and Dorothy Chisley on May 16, 1960 in Marbury, Maryland. He attended Charles County Public Schools and graduated in June 1978 from La Plata High School in La Plata, Maryland. In November 1979 Tony joined the United States Army and served his country until he was discharge in March of 1988. While in the Military he met and married Andrea Mc George in 1981 and from this union two children were born, Christopher and Tiffany. After being discharged from the Military, Tony held several positions at various companies such as Beretta USA, Walmart and Pepco. He also was an entrepreneur with his automotive mechanical business. When Tony was younger he enjoyed playing basketball, as he matured his passions changed to playing cards, enjoying his mother's cooking, watching Discovery, WWF, Basketball and Football, his favorite team was the "Giants". However, the activity which gave him the most enjoyment was drag racing. Tony was spontaneous and had a fun loving spirit. He enjoyed life and his most rewarding accomplishment was the birth of his children. Left to cherish fond memories of Tony are, his parents James and Dorothy and his dearest friend, Carolyn Mason; a wife, Andrea Mc George Chisley, two children, Tiffany and Christopher Chisley; brother, Jeffery; sisters, Tonya Johnson, Sheri Magazine, Andrea, Amanda and Jackie Chisley; nephews, Antwon Chisley, Brandon Greenhow, Ja'Quille Magazine, Devin Johnson and Malachi Silver; niece, Asia Chisley, great niece, Denae' Lancaster, (1) grandson; brothers-in-law, James Johnson and Jasper Magazine and a host of aunts and uncles. Tony also played an important role in the lives of Carolyn's children and grandchildren,Towanda, Jhomicka, Tiera, Nicole, Chanel, Asia, Jawaun, Dayshia, Jaylen Jamarion, Xavier and Zyon. His Viewing will be held from 9am until time of Service, 11am on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
