Berry "Buster" Gilroy, Jr. of Nanjemoy, MD died on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at his residence. He was 58 years old.

Buster was a Carpenter for 36 years with Mitchell Supply Co. (MSI) in La Plata, MD and a member of the First Baptist Church of Welcome where he served as a volunteer. He was an avid Redskins fan and NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon #24. He enjoyed fishing, baseball (Baltimore Orioles), eating crabs, joking around with friends, and being with family.

Son of the late James Berry Gilroy and the late Josephine Margaret Gilroy.

Predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Michelle Lee Springstead; three brothers, James, Clifton, and Thomas Gilroy; and two sisters, Ruby Williams and Esther Grissom.

Survived by his wife, Mary Agnes Gilroy; one son, James Roy (Sonia) Gilroy of Waldorf, MD; and one step-daughter, Angela Swope of Mechanicsville, MD. Also survived by eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation: Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Additional Visitation: Friday, March 9, 2012 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at First Baptist Church of Welcome, MD. Clergy: Rev. Mark Hashagen. Pallbearers: Rex and Stevie Gilroy, Francis Dorsey, DeWayne Burnett, Frank Moore, Roger Grissom, Jimmy Williams, and Charlie Nungesser. Interment: Gilroy Family Cemetery in Nanjemoy, MD.
