Richard Grau Horne II, 41, of Clements died May 11, 2007 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Born April 30, 1966, at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Ida Rosemary Horne and Col. Richard Grau Horne (ret., USAF).
He was a lifelong HVAC mechanic who loved the Dallas Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens, and his vegetable garden. He was extremely proud of his son who recently joined the U.S. Army and his 2 daughters. Besides his parents, he is survived by his children, Richard Grau Horne III of Clements, Jessica Dawn Horne of Clements, and Abigail Mary Horne of Dundalk; his sister, Kristen R. Kulp, and brother-in-law, John W. Kulp of Fort Washington; his sister, Holly H. Kulp, and brother-in-law, Matthew J. Kulp Sr. of Chaptico; his uncle, James Horne; and 4 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, William E. Horne; his maternal grandmother, Elsie L. Hughey; and his paternal grandparents, Ivan and Christine Horne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 24th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morganza, Maryland, with the Rev. Keith Woods officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Grau Horne III, Matthew J. Kulp Sr., Matthew J. Kulp II, John W. Kulp, Harry White, and Alexander Zion.
